Basketball Recap: King's Christian Takes a Loss

King's Christian lost against Atlantic Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The King's Christian Knights fell 46-33 to the Atlantic Christian Cougars. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why King's Christian lost, don't look at Cam Homer. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Atkins, who scored eight points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Atlantic Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Stokes, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points along with eight boards and four blocks. Stokes has been hot, having posted three or more blocks the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Costello, who went 5 for 8 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

King's Christian's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Atlantic Christian, their record is now 9-7.

King's Christian will take on Calvary Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Atlantic Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-46 victory against Gloucester County Christian on the 14th.
