Soccer Game Preview: Robinson vs. La Vega

Robinson has won six straight games at home, while La Vega has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Robinson Rockets will host the La Vega Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, everything went Robinson's way against Meyer as Robinson made off with a 4-1 win. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Ravens are ranked 767th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, La Vega kept a clean sheet against Harmony Science Academy on Tuesday. They blew past the Tigers 8-0. Gael Hernandez was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

La Vega's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Robinson, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
