Baseball Game Preview: Arbor View Aggies vs. Basic Wolves

Arbor View hasn't had much luck against Basic recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Aggies will be playing at home against the Wolves at 3:30 p.m. Arbor View will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Arbor View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Faith Lutheran, who was ranked eighth at the time (Arbor View was ranked second). The Aggies walked away with a 6-2 win over the Crusaders on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Basic had just enough and edged out Green Valley 2-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won five in a row.

Basic got a great performance from Lincoln Evans as he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Evans has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Troy Southisene, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Basic's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Arbor View, their victory bumped their record up to 21-4.
