Softball Game Preview: Leon Lions vs. Lincoln Trojans

Leon hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Lions will head out to face off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Leon has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Leon fell victim to Chiles and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Timberwolves. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lions haven't been shut out since back in February.

Meanwhile, Lincoln came up short against North Florida Christian on Tuesday and fell 10-6. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lanie Woodson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Chloe Williamson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Leon, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.

Leon came out on top in a nail-biter against Lincoln in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 12-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
