Baseball Recap: Wheaton Academy Wins Going Away Against Yorkville Christian

Wheaton Academy won the last time they faced Yorkville Christian and things went their way on Monday too. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Mustangs.

Jackson From was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Wheaton Academy's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is undefeated (and 13-14 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Brandon Kiebles, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wheaton Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Wheaton Academy's record is now 17-14. As for Yorkville Christian, their record now sits at 15-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheaton Academy will welcome Parkview Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Yorkville Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plano at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Reapers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
