Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chicago Washington). They came out on top against the Farragut Admirals on Thursday by a score of 8-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Admirals: they've now won three in a row.

Steve Martinez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Martinez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Martinez wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Josh Alfaro, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

Chicago Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Farragut only posted an OBP of .357.

Chicago Washington's record is now 3-5. As for Farragut, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicago Washington will venture away from home to square off against Holy Trinity at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Farragut, they will head out to challenge Stevenson at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
