Recap: Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights vs. Belmont Hill Sextants
If The Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights were riding high off their 35-12 takedown of the Noble & Greenough Bulldogs last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Buckingham Browne & Nichols lost to Belmont Hill on the road by a decisive 42-28 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Buckingham Browne & Nichols can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Belmont Hill is ranked tenth).
R?is Little was on fire for Belmont Hill: he rushed for 43 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns. Belmont Hill also got a significant boost from Marcus Griffin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 96 yards.
Buckingham Browne & Nichols' loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Belmont Hill, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckingham Browne & Nichols will take on St. Sebastian's School at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belmont Hill, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Milton Academy at 2:00 p.m.
