Recap: Fairfield Lions vs. Eastern Warriors
The Fairfield Lions put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 56-50 win over Eastern. That's another feather in the cap for Fairfield, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fairfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Larkin Friend, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Gabe Fouch, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Fairfield's victory was their 16th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for Eastern, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
Fairfield will take on Southeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Southeastern will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 611th, while Fairfield is ranked 158th). Eastern will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
