Soccer Recap: Kamiakin Comes Up Short

Kamiakin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kennewick Lions. While losing is never fun, Kamiakin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Kennewick are ranked 41st).

Kamiakin's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Kennewick, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Kamiakin will challenge Walla Walla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kamiakin are facing Walla Walla at the right time seeing as Walla Walla are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Kennewick, they will face off against Pasco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennewick will need to watch out since Pasco have now posted at least four goals in their last four matchups.
