Softball Recap: Carlin Railroaders vs. Pyramid Lake Lakers
After flying high against Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage last Saturday, Carlin came back down to earth. Carlin lost 15-4 to the Pyramid Lake Lakers on Friday. The Railroaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Adian Adams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024.
Carlin's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. As for Pyramid Lake, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pyramid Lake beat Carlin by a score of 11-4 later that day.
