Basketball Recap: Woodland Piles Up the Points Against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Woodland on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers out of the water with a 63-29 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wolfpack had established a 29 point advantage.

Woodland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennedy Riley, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. That's the most steals Riley has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Blount, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Woodland was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eagle's Landing Christian Academy only racked up six assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Woodland and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Woodland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-61 defeat against Stockbridge on the 13th. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-23 loss against McDonough on the 13th.
