Provo waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Payson Lions with a sharp 9-1 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Drevin Christensen looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dawson Moore, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Austin Allred was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Provo's record is now 15-8. As for Payson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Provo will venture away from home to take on Ogden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Payson, they will host Mountain Crest at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
