Baseball Recap: Hudson's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hudson barely beat Eau Claire Memorial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders put the hurt on the Old Abes with a sharp 13-6 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won four games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Myles Howe tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Hudson let Sam Abrahamson and Hunter Oswald run wild. Abrahamson went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Oswald went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those stolen bases were Abrahamson's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Manchester, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win (which was Hudson's third in a row) raised their record to 10-2. As for Eau Claire Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Hudson will square off against Kimberly at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Eau Claire Memorial, they will face off against La Crosse Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
