Soccer Game Preview: East Mountain vs. Rehoboth Christian

The East Mountain Timberwolves will head out to challenge the Rehoboth Christian Lynx at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Mountain's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

East Mountain managed to keep up with Cottonwood Classical Prep until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Timberwolves came up short against the Coyotes, falling 6-1.

East Mountain's goal came courtesy of Kayla Arellano, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Rehoboth Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Navajo Prep 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for Rehoboth Christian as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

East Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Rehoboth Christian, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

East Mountain skirted past Rehoboth Christian 5-4 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Lynx have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
