Hornell had lost 11 games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 5-11 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Livonia Bulldogs 6-5. The game was the first time the Red Raiders have beaten the Bulldogs on their field since April 6, 2022.

PJ Picco tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brody Flaitz was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

As for Livonia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-6. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs.

On Livonia's side, Kaidan O'Connor was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
