Softball Recap: Hawkins Comes Up Short

Hawkins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 16-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jordan Bulldogs. Even if the Hawks couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Hawkins' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Jordan, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Hawkins will take on George Washington Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Generals have averaged an impressive 15.4 runs per game this season. As for Jordan, they will face off against Dymally at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Challengers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
