Soccer Game Preview: Glacier Peak vs. Lake Stevens

The Glacier Peak Grizzlies will venture away from home to face off against the Lake Stevens Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Things were looking good for Glacier Peak after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monroe. Glacier Peak's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Lake Stevens strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Kamiak. Given Lake Stevens' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Kamiak are ranked 104th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glacier Peak's loss dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Lake Stevens, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
