Basketball Game Preview: Hazen Bison vs. Killdeer Cowboys

Hazen and Killdeer are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Hazen Bison will welcome the Killdeer Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Hazen's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Killdeer has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Hazen easily dispatched Lisbon on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Hazen fell just short of Nedrose by a score of 52-50 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bison have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Meanwhile, Killdeer came up short against New Salem on Monday and fell 51-40.

Hazen's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Killdeer, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Hazen strolled past Killdeer in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 53-34. Will Hazen repeat their success, or does Killdeer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
