Baseball Recap: Ferndale Golden Eagles vs. Sehome Mariners
Ferndale extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 6-7 in the process. They fell 5-1 to the Sehome Mariners. Surprisingly, this marked the Golden Eagles' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Fenton Vasak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On Sehome's side, Riley Carlson was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Carlson was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
