Volleyball Recap: Riverton Silverwolves vs. Sky View Bobcats

Riverton was the 2-1 winner over Sky View when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Silverwolves fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. While the Silverwolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 25-20 in the first set.

Riverton actually scored more points across those three sets (65-64), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 20-25, 26-24, 18-16.

Landon Lewis paced Riverton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lewis got some help from Harrison Van Horn and his 28 assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Riverton and nudges their season record down to 13-11. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 17-5 Farmington (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 71.3% over those games). As for Sky View, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Riverton has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Bountiful on the 26th. As for Sky View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Farmington on the 26th.
