Basketball Recap: Tapestry Has No Trouble Against Global Concepts

Tapestry got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They strolled past the Global Concepts Gators with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 69-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunderhawks also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Global Concepts still got an impressive performance from Shawndale Lipscomb, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 16 points. Those 16 points gave Lipscomb a new career-high. Anthuan Villalobo was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Tapestry now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Global Concepts, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Tapestry will square off against Eden at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Eden's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Global Concepts, they will host West Seneca West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
