Mt. Eden came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Encinal Jets with a sharp 56-30 win. The Monarchs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jets, too.

Mt. Eden's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-7. As for Encinal, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Eden and Freedom will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Encinal, they will face off against Tennyson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
