Basketball Recap: Hamilton Has No Trouble Against Casteel

A well-balanced attack led Hamilton over Casteel in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. The Hamilton Huskies put the hurt on the Casteel Colts with a sharp 57-37 win. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Colts are ranked 69th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hamilton found their leader in freshman Destinee Benway, who went 8 for 10 on her way to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Sipfle, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards.

Hamilton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Casteel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

Hamilton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-47 defeat against O'Connor on the 30th. As for Casteel, they will challenge Chandler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chandler is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season.
