Softball Recap: Boone County Drops Highest Score of Season Against Frankfort

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boone County). They blew past the Frankfort Panthers 18-6 on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Rebels with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory was the third in a row for Boone County, bringing their record up to 3-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Frankfort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boone County will venture away from home to take on Ryle at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Rebels' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Frankfort, they will head out on the road to challenge Berea at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
