Alexandria-Monroe is 9-1 against Elwood since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Alexandria-Monroe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Alexandria-Monroe barely beat Wes-Del the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Warriors on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the match before.

Adrian Smith was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 12 games. Owen May was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Elwood had to endure a 14-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out Monroe Central 9-8 on Monday. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Golden Bears on their field since May 8, 2017.

Elwood's record is now 3-19. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9.

Alexandria-Monroe took their victory against Elwood when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
