Softball Recap: Holliday's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Holliday and Peaster had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds on Friday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Greyhounds earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Holliday's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-9-1. As for Peaster, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Holliday beat Peaster by a score of 11-2 later that day.
