Basketball Game Preview: Woodside Wildcats vs. Burlingame Panthers

Woodside is 2-7 against Burlingame since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Woodside Wildcats take on the Burlingame Panthers at 7:45 p.m. Woodside will be strutting in after a win while Burlingame will be coming in after a defeat.

Woodside played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 45-36 victory over Hillsdale.

Meanwhile, Burlingame came up short against Half Moon Bay on Wednesday and fell 53-40. The Panthers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Woodside will have to contain Jean-Luc Uharriet as he made an impact in Burlingame's last game. He posted 14 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucca Maher, who had six points and seven boards.

Woodside's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Burlingame, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
