Football Recap: Westland Starts off Right with Win over Centennial

Westland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 49-0 win over the Centennial Stars. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cougars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Stars are ranked 639th).

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westland is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Grove City at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Centennial, they will face off against South at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
