Basketball Recap: Frankfort Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Frankfort can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 73-14 loss at the hands of the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins. The defeat leaves the Hot Dogs still looking for their first win on the season.

Ava Jarman was Frankfort's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Ella Mcatee took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Tri-West Hendricks' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aniyah Anthony led the charge by putting up nine points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Anthony is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lauren Bear, who went 6-for-9 en route to 14 points.

Frankfort's loss dropped their record down to 0-24. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Frankfort does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they have already played their next contest, a 42-36 victory against Guerin Catholic on the 7th.
