Football Recap: Diana Sandoval and Lyric Calderon Lead the Defense for Marshall Win

Marshall won the last time they faced San Fernando and things went their way on Monday too. The Barristers never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 25-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Barristers.

Jaylin Macias went supernova, rushing for 88 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 66 yards and one TD. Those 88 rushing yards gave her a new career-high.

Marshall didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Diana Sandoval and Lyric Calderon.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for San Fernando, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Marshall and San Fernando will both be playing Monroe the next time they take the field. The Barristers will head out to face the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
