Madison is 8-1 against Brandeis since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mavericks will welcome the Broncos at 6:00 p.m.

Madison fell victim to Johnson and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The shutout was out of character for the Mavericks seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brandeis, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Clark on Tuesday, sneaking past 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Broncos considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Peyton Miers was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Renner Koloch was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.

Brandeis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Brandeis' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-12. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Madison, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8.

Madison took their win against Brandeis when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 17-2 score. Do the Mavericks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
