Palo Verde put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Liberty Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Ava Koenig spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Halle Law and Taylor Johns did most of the damage at the plate: Law went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one run, while Johns went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Law has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Brandes, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Palo Verde hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matchups.

Palo Verde pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Liberty, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3-2.

Palo Verde didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-2 win against Southeast Career Tech on the 3rd. As for Liberty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-5 victory against Coronado on the 8th.
