Aztec has gone 9-1 against Shiprock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers will welcome the Chieftains at 4:00 p.m. Shiprock took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Aztec, who comes in off a win.

If Aztec beats Shiprock with five runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Tigers beat Miyamura on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.

Aztec saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadyn Brooks, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Shiprock's offense. They lost 10-0 to Bloomfield on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Chieftains in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Shiprock now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Aztec, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.

Aztec took their victory against Shiprock when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Chieftains have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
