Recap: Kingsbury Falcons vs. City University School of Liberal Arts

The Kingsbury Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of City University School of Liberal Arts. Kingsbury was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as City University School of Liberal Arts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

City University School of Liberal Arts' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cohen Butler, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. Butler continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Reliford, who scored 12 points along with five assists and two steals.

Kingsbury dropped their record down to 13-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for City University School of Liberal Arts, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Kingsbury won't have much time to rest: their next game is against White Station at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. White Station presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kingsbury in Tennessee (White Station is ranked 113th, while Kingsbury is ranked 255th). City University School of Liberal Arts does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
