Softball Recap: Monacan Takes a Loss

Monacan lost against Cosby back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Monacan came up short against Cosby, falling 9-3. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monacan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Wilcheck, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Monacan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. Cosby has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Monacan will challenge Midlothian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Midlothian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Monacan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cosby, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on James River Midlothian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
