Basketball Recap: A.J. Ellender Comes Up Short

If A.J. Ellender was feeling good fresh off their 66-25 takedown of Houma Christian on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots were outmatched by the West Harrison Hurricanes and fell 70-39.

Logan Robinson had another great game (as he tends to do), going 6-for-14 to rack up 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals for West Harrison. Robinson's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kameron Bolden, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

A.J. Ellender's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for West Harrison, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Coming up, A.J. Ellender will venture away from home to take on Terrebonne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Harrison, they will host Ocean Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Hurricanes their first taste of in-conference action this season.
