After a string of six wins, Hudson's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Columbus Sailors by a score of 7-6. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sailors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Columbus, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

Hudson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-6 loss against Cascade on the 13th. As for Columbus, they will welcome Oelwein at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for the Sailors: they have been struggling with 17 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while the Huskies have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
