Basketball Recap: Bainbridge Wins Going Away Against Peach County

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Bainbridge's strategy against Peach County on Saturday. The Bainbridge Bearcats were the clear victor by a 52-32 margin over the Peach County Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Trojans back in January, they had to take a 39-33 loss.

Bainbridge had a senior duo take command as Ahleah Jones posted 14 points and six steals and Kyra Green went 5 for 12 on her way to 10 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Green a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ta'Liyah Ausgood, who scored 11 points.

Bainbridge's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Peach County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Bainbridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-37 defeat against Dougherty on the 4th. As for Peach County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 55-28 loss against Monroe on the 4th.
