Volleyball Recap: Eaglecrest Has No Trouble Against Thomas Jefferson

With a playoff win on the line, Eaglecrest rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Thomas Jefferson Spartans.

Eaglecrest can attribute much of their success to Max Chen, who had 12 digs. Chen has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Eaglecrest couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 40.3% of their attack attempts. The last time their hitting percentage was this high was back in April.

Eaglecrest's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Thomas Jefferson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Eaglecrest and Thomas Jefferson will both be playing Arvada West the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Wildcats at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Raptors will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
