Softball Recap: Denfeld Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Denfeld nor Duluth East made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Hunters fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 3-2. The Hunters just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row.

Noelle Vesel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Denfeld saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nataliah Sargent, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Angel Rowan was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Denfeld's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Duluth East, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.

As of now, neither Denfeld nor the Greyhounds have any future games scheduled.
