Covington got themselves on the board against South Vermillion on Thursday, but South Vermillion never followed suit. They were the clear victors by  a  12-0 margin over the Wildcats. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Creux Rieman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Rieman was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with three  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. He has become a key player for Covington: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 7-9 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Davyn Green, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. Those  four  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Cian Moore, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs.
 Covington  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are  a perfect 7-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
