Basketball Game Preview: Indian Valley Braves vs. River View Black Bears

Indian Valley is 0-3 against River View since February of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Indian Valley Braves will head out on the road to face off against the River View Black Bears at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Indian Valley is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Sandy Valley on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Indian Valley lost 50-29 to Sandy Valley. The Braves were down 48-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, River View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-33 heartbreaker at the hands of John Glenn.

River View's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Indian Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9.

Indian Valley came up short against River View in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, falling 59-48. Can Indian Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
