Baseball Recap: Norwich Takes a Loss

Norwich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-3 to the Oneonta Yellowjackets. If the Purple Tornado were looking for revenge after losing 11-5 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Norwich saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Brunick, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Connor White, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Norwich's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Oneonta, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

While Norwich had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
