Baseball Recap: Terry Sanford Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Terry Sanford had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Southern Alamance Patriots. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Jack Reaves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Walker, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Jacob Moore was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Terry Sanford's win bumped their record up to 25-5. As for Southern Alamance, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-7-1 record.

As of now, neither Terry Sanford nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
