Basketball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 34th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 50-24 to the East Thunderbirds. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked fifth).

South's loss dropped their record down to 0-20. As for East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South will welcome Laramie at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East, they will be playing at home against Central at 6:00 p.m. on February 28th.
