Recap: Windham Whippets vs. Ledyard Colonels
The Windham Whippets took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against Ledyard by a score of 60-47. That's another feather in the cap for Windham, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Malcolm Hunter , who scored 16 points along with six steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahj Jones, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Windham's victory was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Ledyard, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Windham will head out on the road to face off against Brookfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ledyard will be home for the holidays to greet Griswold at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
