Fairfield Prep was sadly handed a defeat on Saturday, but Anthony Pavano did his best to prevent it. Pavano pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The performance also marked the fewest walks (zero) he has had since back in April.

Pavano and Fairfield Prep will welcome Sheehan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Pavano's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Jesuits' three-game streak of wins on the road.
