Sacred Heart extended their postseason success on Saturday against Stringer. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Red Devils. The Crusaders are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 15 straight.

The team relied heavily on Darren Brown, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Sacred Heart hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive matches.

Sacred Heart's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Stringer, their loss dropped their record down to 8-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sacred Heart beat the Red Devils by a score of 5-2 on Monday.
