Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Weir Hurricanes vs. West Port Wolf Pack

Lake Weir is 0-10 against West Port since April of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Hurricanes will host the Wolf Pack at 5:30 p.m.

Lake Weir is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Belleview.

Lake Weir started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-21, 25-19, 25-17.

If Belleview wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played West Port, they should've done a better job of containing Luis Monserat. The Wolf Pack came out on top against the Rattlers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday thanks in part to Monserat, who had 24 digs and two aces. He has been hot, having posted 18 or more digs the last six times he's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 20-25, 25-18.

The win got West Port back to even at 10-10. As for Lake Weir, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
