Baseball Recap: Laughlin Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Laughlin unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 10-1 to the Wells Leopards on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

The victory was the third in a row for Wells, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

Laughlin will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Needles at 1:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Wells, they will square off against Tonopah at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wells' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
